Welcome to the Registrar of Community Housing’s web site.


The Registrar of Community Housing is responsible for registering and regulating community housing providers in New South Wales under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH). The Registrar is an independent statutory officer reporting directly to the Minister for Family and Community Services.

The Registrar is also commissioned by the Aboriginal Housing Office to undertake and report on performance assessments of Aboriginal community housing providers in the Provider Assessment and Registration System (PARS) under the Aboriginal Housing Act 1998 (NSW). See About Us for more information.

Registrar's office closed over the holidays

The Registrar of Community Housing’s office will be closed during the Christmas/New Year period as part of the NSW Government closedown.  The closedown period will be from Monday, 26 December 2016 up to and including Friday, 7 January 2017.  We will reopen on Monday, 9 January 2017.

Registrar Commemorates the 8th anniversary of the national apology to the stolen generations. The theme for this year is Heal our Past, Build our Future, Celebrating our Heroes focuses on the strength and courage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Stolen Generations' Heroes.
