The Strategic Stewardship Report

The Strategic Stewardship project examined governance, risk management and strategic planning practices for Class 1, 2 and 3 community housing providers in NSW who were registered under the Housing Act 2001 (NSW) at 1 May 2011, and who managed the vast majority of the community housing property portfolio.

The project was carried out by staff from the Registrar of Community Housing and was overseen by a project advisory group with members drawn from academia, government and the industry peak body.

The Strategic Stewardship Report describes the findings and ways in which the sector could strengthen its capacity. It also contains examples of Australian and international positive practice.

Complaint Management Framework

This Framework was commissioned under the NSW Community Housing Industry Development Strategy 2013/14-
2015/16. The Strategy is a partnership between the Department of Family and Community Services and NSW
Federation of Housing Associations and aims to enhance the industry’s ability to respond to the challenges and
opportunities of the emerging environment.
