Complaint Handling

Information for Tenants - provides guidance on how to make a complaint about a community housing provider registered under the NSW Local Scheme

Information for community housing providers - sets out the types of complaints that may be addressed by the Registrar of Community Housing. It explains in broad terms how the Registrar will engage with community housing providers registered under the NSW Local Scheme when complaints are made about their compliance with the Regulatory Framework.

Information for neighbours and related parties - provides guidance and clarification on complaint and dispute processes for neighbours and/or other stakeholders of community housing properties managed by community housing providers registered under the NSW Local Scheme. The Factsheet has been developed to assist complainants in determining the most appropriate avenue for them to progress their complaint.

Provider Notifications to the Registrar

Explains the requirement that registered providers notify the Registrar of certain events, and how and when to do this

Affiliated Entity Arrangements

Provides information on how the Registrar of Community Housing assesses providers’ suitability to be registered and monitors providers’ ongoing compliance with the Community Housing Providers (Adoption of National Law) Act 2012 (NSW), including the performance requirements of the NSW Local Scheme Regulatory Code.
